Our Team/Our Mission
Healing Through History (HTH) is an Australian and American veteran-run Florida-based 501(c)(3) charity. Our team has decades of experience both academically and on-the-ground across a vast array of disciplines focused mostly on the Vietnam War.
This experience combined with our developed relationships with Veterans Service Organizations (VSO) and government agencies helps us provide insightful information and hopefully new narratives for a veteran's family.
Our core team and associated expertise include: extensive Southeast Asia historical country and language experience; US in Vietnam aircraft combat tactics, procedures and equipment; historical foreign affairs research and analysis; geospatial/imagery analysis techniques; military operations in previous wars, and archival MIA document discovery and retrieval.

Mr. Glenn Hines, HTH Chief Executive Officer
CEO of Healing Through History focusing on assisting families of the Vietnam War. Thirty years of on the ground Vietnam experience and a lifetime of study of the war itself with the prior ten years focused on the MIA issue. Service in the Australian Army and Navy deploying aboard HMAS Hobart and attended the Australian Defense Force School of Languages at Point Cook AFB. Prior Fire and EMS service as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Holds degrees in Asian and International Studies (majoring in International Relations and Japanese), Nursing, Paramedicine and Graduate studies in Business and TESOL. CEO and owner of Australia America Tax Services an international tax firm who service over 1000 clients worldwide.

Professor Joseph Mortati, HTH Director and Chief Aviation Analyst
Professor Joseph Mortati is Chief Aviation Analyst for Healing Through History and has been a volunteer Southeast Asia MIA case researcher since 2006. After graduating from the Air Force Academy with a degree in Military History, he flew F-4 Phantoms. He then pursued a career in business and later academia, joining HTH after retiring from American University in 2023. He is also a graduate of Rutgers University and The Johns Hopkins University.
Ms. Robin Shwetzer, HTH Board Member, All-Source Analyst
Robin Shwetzer is an all-source analyst for Healing Through History, and has been a volunteer MIA case researcher since 2017. She focuses on Southeast Asia, but also researches cases from the Second World War and the Cold War. Robin holds a master’s degree in Russian Area Studies from the University of Miami, and worked as an All-Source Intelligence
Analyst with the Defense Intelligence Agency for nearly thirty years until her retirement in 2021. Her experience using archival data to solve intelligence
problems began in 2000 when she was selected for the U.S Intelligence Community’s “Exceptional Intelligence Analysis Program” where she spent a year researching at the U.S. National Archives. Robin also developed and taught courses on Intelligence Research and Analysis for The Defense Threat Reduction Agency and New Mexico State University.

Mr. Dan Deloria, HTH Aircraft Technical Investigator
Mr. Dan Deloria has been an Air National Guard jet engine mechanic and Air Force Propulsion engineer. He has extensive experience in military aircraft accident investigation. In his spare time, he enjoys researching and finding old aircraft wreck sites in the U.S. This unique background has caused Dan to be very familiar with aircraft manuals, structure, and aircraft parts identification. He enjoys identification of obscure part numbers on mangled data plates, and tracking that number to a type of aircraft.

Mr. Lou Shwetzer, HTH Board Member, Geospatial and Imagery Analyst
Lou Shwetzer is a geospatial/imagery analyst and has been working on MIA cases, with the government and as a volunteer, since 2007. He has conducted archival aerial photographic research and analysis since 1991. He has researched and analyzed MIA cases from the Second World War, Korean War, Cold War, and Vietnam. He retired from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency with two Meritorious Civilian Service Medals. He has extensive expertise with imaging sensors, and humanitarian/disaster relief issues. Lou is US military veteran, and certified commercial drone pilot.

Team of MIA Search Experts
HTH has an ad hoc international team of linguists, historians, representatives, war equipment experts, and archival researchers to answer specific MIA case issues for World War 2, Korean War, Vietnam War and Cold War.

Over the years, Healing Through History Inc. has grown into a vibrant community of researchers, historians, educators, and families, all united by a shared commitment to honoring the legacy of the Vietnam War. We take immense pride in the bonds we've nurtured and the lives we've touched. Each story we uncover and every journey we facilitate strengthens our collective understanding and appreciation of the past, ensuring that the lessons and love of our ancestors continue to inspire future generations.
We have expanded our portfolio to include World War 2, Korean War, and Cold War Missing-in-Action service members.
